E-scooters are a great way to cruise around Bloomington and campus. But, with great convenience comes great responsibility, especially when it comes to keeping yourself and everyone else safe. Check out these must-know safety tips.
Scooters
Helmets
Just like any other high-risk activity, wearing a helmet keeps your head safe. They reduce your risk of a serious brain injury or death.
Parking
Would you park your car in the middle of the sidewalk? We hope NOT. Same goes with a scooter. Return your scooter to a bike rack or park it out of the way without blocking stairs and ADA ramps.
Rules of the road
Scooters are fun to ride, but they are not toys. Treat them like you would any other vehicle on the road.
