IU Bloomington is a scenic, bike-friendly campus, and riding a bike is one of the best ways to get around. It's often quicker than driving a car and offers a unique opportunity to experience the campus and the surrounding area.

Traffic skills course
A new course in IU Expand is now available to bicyclists and e-scooter riders, focusing on shared safety concerns and how to interact safely with vehicles, pedestrians, and other road users.
Earn a free helmet! Complete the course and email your certificate of completion to us to receive a free helmet.
Only available to IU students, faculty, and staff, while supplies last.
If you choose to ride a bike, remember that your bike is considered a vehicle. You're responsible for learning and obeying the rules that apply to you as a cyclist.
For additional security of your bicycle, it is recommended cyclists use U-locks or chain locks for securing your bike to a bike rack.
