Hoosier Commuter Club

Join the Hoosier Commuter Club, and you'll join thousands of IU Bloomington individuals who care about their health, the environment, who benefit financially by not driving alone, and who help the university reduce peak-hour commute trips, a critical component in the campus master plan.

You can temporarily suspend your parking pass and become a member of the HCC during fairer weather months. Contact Parking Operations at 812-855-9848 or parking@indiana.edu.

As a member you agree to:

Be committed to utilizing any of the following as your primary mode of transportation to and from campus: walking, biking, transit, carpool, vanpool, EM-V, or an Evening permit.
Not to use any IU parking permit except a carpool, daily, vanpool, EM-V, Evening, or hold only a bike permit during the time you are registered as a Hoosier Commuter Club member.

You’ll also enjoy these benefits:

Receive 10, one-day EM-P parking permits per year at no charge. (Max permits 10 per employee. In a two-person carpool, only the non-EM-P permit-holder is eligible.)
Option to purchase up to five one-day permits at half the price of the current daily permit rate per semester (total of up to 15 each year). Vanpool and three-person carpool members are eligible. In a two-person carpool, only the non-EM-P permit-holder is eligible.
Free Emergency Ride Home (ERH)
Ridematching services provided by Zimride and Commuter Connect
A monthly $9.50 Zipcar driving credit.
An opportunity to win a $50 gift card during the monthly HCC drawing. (HCC members are eligible to win once per semester. All cash and cash equivalents are taxable to the recipient and are required to self-report the prizes on their personal tax return.)
Access to private Facebook group for HCC members. Connect with other members, find carpool or vanpool partners, and share commute resources.
